For many students, the college search becomes real the moment they step onto campus. It is where questions find answers, possibilities take shape and students begin to picture themselves as part of a new community.

That moment unfolded across the Chalon Campus on March 28 during Admitted Students Day 2026. Hosted by the Office of Admissions, the annual event welcomed 322 admitted students and more than 900 total guests for a full day of exploration, connection and celebration.

From the start, the energy on campus reflected the excitement of what lies ahead. Admitted students and their families engaged with faculty, staff and current students, gaining insight into academic programs, campus life and the many pathways available at the Mount. At the Community Fair and throughout campus, conversations unfolded that helped students envision their future as Athenians.

“The excitement on campus was unmistakable as we welcomed our admitted students for Fall 2026,” said Erika Yamasaki, PhD, assistant vice president of enrollment management. “From the moment they arrived, they were embraced by a community eager to support their journey. It was a powerful reminder of the connection, opportunity and sense of belonging that define the Athenian experience.”

Supporting students in their next steps remained central to the day. Admitted students and families connected with financial aid counselors and academic advisors, ensuring they left with clarity and confidence as they navigate the enrollment process.

The vibrancy of student life was on full display through performances that brought the campus to life. Musical and dance performances by students, clubs and organizations showcased the creativity, cultural expression and strong sense of community that define the Mount experience.

For some families, the visit was especially meaningful. One alumna returned to campus with her daughter, sharing that it was a special opportunity to experience the Mount together and witness its continued growth.

The University also welcomed a group of students traveling from across the country and internationally, who attended a Welcome to Los Angeles dinner ahead of the event before joining the broader Admitted Students Day experience.

Throughout the day, many students took an important step in their college journey by submitting their tuition deposit and officially becoming #MountBound.
